About
This course is aimed at educating non-Aboriginal healthcare staff on how to respectfully and confidently ask the “Identifying Question” in a culturally safe, trauma-informed, and person-centered way. This training aims to deepen understanding of why identity matters in healthcare, highlight the ongoing impacts of racism and discrimination, and demonstrate how respectful communication, cultural protocols, and Aboriginal liaison support can help create safer, more inclusive environments where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients feel valued, respected, and empowered to share who they are.
